Suicidality Overview Dashboard
Introducing the New Dashboard: A Comprehensive Overview of Suicidality Metrics and Outcomes
In mental health care, measurement-based care is pivotal, entailing the systematic administration of symptom rating scales for informed clinical decisions. An essential aspect of this approach is the regular assessment of suicidality.
Our new Suicidality Overview Dashboard seamlessly integrates these measurements into a visual and user-friendly interface.
Overview
The Suicidality Overview Dashboard employs various data visualizations to present suicidality metrics clearly and comprehensibly. These visualizations empower clinicians to interpret the data effortlessly and make informed decisions about patient care.
- Patients with Suicidality (All-Time) — Tracks the number of patients with a suicidality flag in their assessment response at any time.
- Patients with Baseline Suicidality — Monitors the number of patients with a suicidality flag in their initial assessment response, offering insight into those already experiencing suicidal ideation upon intake.
- Patients with Recent Suicidality — Captures the number of patients with a suicidality flag in any recent assessment response within the last 30 days, highlighting those necessitating immediate attention.
- Recent Suicidality by Cohort — Illustrates the number of patients from each cohort, denoted by their Treatment Start Date, exhibiting a suicidality flag in their assessment responses within the last 30 days, providing insights into immediate action requirements and prolonged struggles.
- Suicidal Patients by Assessment (All-Time) — Displays the number of patients with a suicidality flag at any time, categorized by the assessment indicating suicidal ideation, facilitating identification of measures with frequent indications of suicidality.
Outcomes
The Suicidality Recovery visualizations focus on patients who previously had suicidality flags but now exhibit no signs:
- Suicidality Recovery — Represents the percentage of patients previously flagged for suicidality but displaying none in their most recent assessment, offering an approximation of the recovery rate. Caution is advised in interpretation, as this definition may not encompass other clinical recovery definitions.
- Patients with No Suicidality Recovery Yet — Reflects the count of patients with a suicidality flag in their most recent assessment, representing those yet to exhibit recovery from suicidality. Interpret with caution, considering potential variations in clinical definitions.
- Suicidality Recovery by Cohort — Presents the percentage of patients previously flagged for suicidality but now showing none in their most recent assessment, categorized by treatment start date cohort, offering insights into recovery rates across different groups.
- Suicidality Recovery by Therapist — Illustrates the percentage of patients previously flagged for suicidality but now showing none in their most recent assessment, categorized by therapist, aiding in evaluating therapist-specific recovery rates.
Our new Suicidality Overview Dashboard aims to streamline the monitoring of suicidality, empowering clinicians to promote mental health recovery effectively. To request for this dashboard to be added for your clinic, please email support@greenspacehealth.com.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is meant by 'suicidality'?
- Suicidality encompasses thoughts, plans, and attempts to end one's own life. For instance, in the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS), a suicidality question might ask: "Have you ever thought about harming yourself?" Similarly, the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) might inquire: "In the past two weeks, how often have you had thoughts of harming yourself or ending your life?"
What is the definition of Suicidality Recovery used in the Dashboard?
- The Dashboard defines recovery as the absence of a suicidality flag in the patient's most recent assessment. While this definition serves as an approximation, it's crucial to recognize that clinical definitions of recovery may vary. We encourage users to verify and consider other clinical definitions and insights from experts in the field for a comprehensive understanding of recovery in mental health.
What are some examples of measures that have a question on suicidality?
