Therapist Supervision
Clinics can choose to enable Therapist Supervision, which allows progress notes to be reviewed and approved by supervisors. This means that a completed note would be signed by both the supervisee and a supervisor. This feature is beneficial for organizations that employ a formal supervisory process and want to use Greenspace to make the supervisory process more efficient.
How to enable supervision
In Clinic Settings, select Yes to "Enable Note Supervision".
How it works
Step 1: Assigning a Supervisor
When a Therapist locks and signs a Session Note, Supervision Note or Treatment Summary, they are asked whether the note is "subject to supervision and requires a supervisor's signature".
If the Therapist selects the checkbox, they will be presented with a list of providers within the clinic to assign the note to. The list of providers that appear will be:
- Any therapists who share access to the patient's record (with note visibility on).
- Any admin that has the Modify Patients permission enabled.
Step 2: Notification to the Supervisor
After the supervisor is assigned to the note, they will receive a notification by email advising that there is a new note that requires their supervision.
When signed in, the supervisor will also see a notification for any patients that have outstanding notes requiring supervision.
Step 3: Review and Signature by the Supervisor
The note will indicate that it requires the supervisor's signature. After the note is reviewed, the supervisors will press Lock and Sign to approve and sign the note.
The note is then complete and contains signatures and time stamps from both the supervisee and the supervisor.
